New Century Careers (NCC), is pleased to announce the release of its 2023 Impact Report, showcasing a year of significant achievements and collaborative efforts in advancing workforce development initiatives.
Throughout 2023, NCC demonstrated regional leadership by providing inclusive access to training opportunities and fostering collaborations with influential partners. These efforts have opened doors to broader roles in leading-edge training and technology, preparing technicians for the evolving demands of advanced manufacturing, automation, and robotics.
Key partnerships with organizations such as the ARM Institute, Catalyst Connection, and Partner4Work have not only led to substantial funding but also facilitated the expansion of NCC’s core pre-apprenticeship program, Manufacturing 2000 (M2K). The integration of robotics and automation training components into the program ensures trainees are well-equipped for diverse career pathways, from traditional manufacturers to emerging technology companies and academic institutions.

In addition to workforce development initiatives, NCC has actively engaged in community outreach and support, participating in various events and initiatives to recruit trainees and garner support from individuals and organizations across the region.
The 2023 Impact Report also highlights success stories of individuals like Anthony H. and Melody S., whose lives have been transformed through NCC’s training programs. Anthony, a graduate of the Manufacturing 2000 cohort, is now integrating his lifelong passion for creating things with his hands into a sustainable career. Melody, a single mother from Pittsburgh, successfully completed her training as a machinist and joined a partner company, Aerotech Inc., with the support of NCC’s programs.
NCC’s commitment to equitable workforce development and its contributions to strengthening the region’s manufacturing sector are further underscored through initiatives such as the Manufacturing Industry Partnership and strategic collaborations with educational institutions and industry partners.
